ReplyDeleteIt was until around 20 years ago, Goofy's name was translated as "Tribilín" in Latin América. So adults here know him as "Tribilín" not Goofy. It was since 90s that Goofy is called in the right way when translated and dubbed.
Daffy Duck is known as "El Pato Lucas" (Lucas Duck) in Latin América until today. Foghorn Leghorn from the looney Tunes is known as "El Gallo Claudio" (Claudio the rooster), and Uncle Lester (from the Addams Family) is know as "El Tío Lucas" (Uncle Lucas)
Their names are translated this way until today.
Funny, Superman and Batman are known as Supermán and Batman in Latin América.
